Difference between the M1 and the M1-si.

Can anyone could tell me the difference between the Mirage M1 speaker and the M1-si series? I own a set of M3-si and will be purchasing a used set of M1's. Am I going backwards with this purchase?

    Thanks

The main difference was the newer tweeters that they used in the si version.  I read a review on the M3si and they said they made 19 changes overall to the si series....I just compared the M3si to the M1 speakers with two different amps and my buddy decided he liked his M3si better than his M1, so I bought his M1 speakers from him this week.Big Smile

I was fortunate to compare the M3 and the M3-si side by side.  I found the si to be superior but not by a huge margin.  I think you cannot go wrong with either.  I have never heard the M1 nor the M1-si . .  hope i get the chance because the M3-si are something special.

Well, I sold the M1's because I thought they were too inefficient with the amp I was using....turned out that the amp had an internal switch in it which changed the sensitivity...now that I have it in the most sensitive position, I have close to 4 times the power that I had when I owned the M1's.

Now I'm thinking about buying my buddies M3si's that he has for sale.Big Smile
