Newbie Here - Looking for MC-2

Hello everyone, my first time on the site. I am fairly new to Mirage, but have been diving right in. I currently own some current products FS2 Towers and matching Center driven by an older Yamaha RX-V1050, which I have setup in the bedroom along with a PS-12-180 Sub. Overall I am fairly happy with this for watching movies with the wife, she of the "Not too loud hunny" ilk.

Also have some Vintage models, having just purchased a set of Mint M7si that I will be setting up with a Proceed Amp 3 / AVP Combo. I want to add a center channel, and have focused in on the MC-2. Hoping someone has one they've moved on from, and wouldn't mind selling. I would also consider the MCsi, but my first choice is the MC-2.

Let me know if you have one in nice shape available, and how much shipped to zip 01035.

    Thanks,

    Lee

Re: Newbie Here - Looking for MC-2

    Hello People,

I have found one! Mint condition, and sounds fantastic! The MC-2 is thought by some to be one of the best centers ever produced by any manufacturer, and although I have not heard the super expensive brands, I see (hear) no reason to even listen to others. This is just a fantastic sound experience, crystal clear voices with perfect pitch (at least to my ears). The voices literally sound like they are "right there", right where they should be, clear and with a natural 3 dimensional presence, just as the source would present it. I couldn't ask for more, and I highly recommend the MC-2 to anyone! Used, these can be had for $300 or less, and where can you buy a super high end center channel for anywhere close to that? It is said these get better with age, so if you find one used and not abused... BUY IT!!! I promise you will not be disappointed :)

    Regards,

    Lee
