Howdy all,
I have a set of FRx speakers (FRx-7's, FRx-center, FRx-S10 and FRx-rears) that I've had for about 9yrs now. Well I recently moved and I need to figure out the best way to mount my rear speakers in my new house.
I can't put them on stands as I have a 6yr old son and this is the Home Theater/Game Room and they'd be toppled over on day 1.
I am planning on mounting them on the ceiling again (like I had at my old house.) But the ceiling is coffered to a depth of about 12" and but then it angles out at the back. My couch back is about 1" behind the window on the left and next to the wall. I'm thinking about mounting one speaker on the lower part next to the wall, and the put the second one in the coffered area but at the same height as the other speaker by making box and attaching it to the ceiling. And then getting the spacing right so that the center of the couch is equaldistant to each speaker.
Thoughts?
